Oil on canvas relined 20 - 30 years ago or so, canvas remains tight, varnish a little dirty, signs of one or two retouches in the background above his head and a little light craquelure in the lower right corner, one or two light surface scuffs and scratches, housed in an ornate giltwood and gesso frame, no labels verso.
We believe the painting to be a 19th century copy.
