A George II walnut bureau, the fall enclosing pigeon holes and short drawers over two short and three graduated long drawers, on bracket feet, W.3ft 2in. D.1ft 8in. H.3ft 4.5in.

Overall of a light honeyed walnut tone, somewhat faded down from its original colour, paler on the top and the fall, darker at the sides and the drawer fronts, overall with light bulging at the top, inward bulging of the slope and slight outer bulging at the left side, and commensurate old splits within the veneers, top has some water ring damage, fall does not close perfectly it has a slight curve from left to right and therefore sticks out at the lock point, no key present but original lock fitted, interior looks original with some mould and ink stain damage, handles are later, drawer locks look original but again no key, feet probably original but worn with losses to the veneers and discolouration, overall an honest bureau but in need of some restoration.
