Oil on canvas cleaned and relined in the past ten years or so, canvas remains tight, a fine but stable craquelure shows through much of the paint particularly through the centre and right side of the work, there may well be some retouching running particularly down the left and across the bottom, signed and dated lower left, housed in an ornate, probably original, gilt gesso frame which suffers from overpainting and a few losses, no labels verso.
