Two pieces of the frame are missing opposite each other at the top corners as visible in the photographs, the far left of the three top scrolls has been broken and re-glued, and there is a split to the centre of the bottom of the frame visible from the reverse, there is wear to the gilding on the plaque above the Madonna's head.
