An early 19th century brass bound staved oak salt beef barrel, on raised feet, by repute the wood part of Admiral Lord Nelson's fleet, Overall Diam. 2ft 1in. H.2ft 5in.

Overall of good rich mid to dark brown tone with brass work in a fine state of polish, the coopering however has all come loose and therefore the brass rings fall away if the piece is not lifted very carefully, this will need some attention. Base looks to be later as are the trestle feet.
