Oil on canvas, re-lined within the past 10 to 20 years or so. Canvas remains tight, paint is extraordinarily dusty but this will clean away, otherwise some fine but stable craquelure showing in the darker areas. Initialled and dated top left, housed in a later ornate floral carved frame which is in fair condition. Label verso for the Medici Society.
Blushed colouring in the paint runs through the girls face is part of the work, was certainly intended by the painter but perhaps could be regarded as a flaw.
