The necklace is a 19th century unmarked yellow metal and foil backed garnet necklace. Three of the stones each have a very tiny nick to the facet edge, otherwise in good order. It is possible that a few of the stones may be paste replacements?? Gross weight is 12.7 grams. Length 38cm.
What is the metal on the red necklace? Possibly gold, unmarked. Stones are garnets.
