Oil on original canvas, which has a very slight sag to it. Rather dirty with pin holes showing in all four corners, a small tear to the left of the sitter's nose and one or two other small dent marks. Horizontal stretcher mark half way down the work. Not signed. Housed in equally dirty but original gilt frame. It comes to the sale by family descent.
