A Staffordshire porcelain figure of a giraffe, c.1828, of incorrect anatomical proportions, standing four square on a moulded base with shredded clay and gilt leaves, H. 11.6cm

Both ears of the giraffe have been restored, there is some fine crazing to the glaze all over and there are fine hairline cracks to the giraffe's front left and rear right hooves, some slight wear to the gilding on the base, otherwise in reasonable condition.
