Red chalk on white paper which is probably a little evenly discoloured, some undulation showing so thought not to be laid down, one small thumbnail sized crease showing near the top right corner, signed just below 9 o'clock at the margin, one or two tiny dirt specks but otherwise good, housed in a quality washline mount now showing some insect dirt and a moulded gilt frame which is suffering one or two small losses to the frame. Label verso for Alfred A Hayley of Walton Wakefield Collection giving the remark of Harwood C. Laurence Collection prior to that, also A J Rowe label typed with the same provenance.
