A George III silver salver, by John Cox, with gadrooned border and engraved scroll decoration and central initials, London, 1773, on four hoof feet, 40.7cm, in later fitted case, 55 oz.

Engraved initial to the centre. Engraved decoration most probably later. Numerous unusual surface splits/flaws on the back of the salver?? Numerous minor surface scratches to the base also. Gauge of silver a little thin towards the centre of the salver. Hallmarks clear but with some slight rubbing to the maker's mark.
