Naval Interest - a good Victorian silver gilt presentation circular table compartmental snuff box and cover, commemorating William IV, by Daniel Pettifer, embossed with roses and engraved with naval ships, coronet, armorial and lid interior with presentation inscription, "The gift of Lady Grant to John Irving Glennie in memory of Rear Admiral Sir Richard Grant obt. 3rd March, 1859, aet 75", with six interior lidded compartments and central vinaigrette?, on three claw feet with wheels, one detached but present, Birmingham, 1851, diameter 14cm.

A fair amount of the gilding has worn away from the lid, mainly around the engraved border. There are two surface splits to the silver on the interior of the lid close to the hallmarks, which in turn are a little rubbed. There is wear to the gilding on the embossed decoration around the circumference of the main body in general. There are numerous scratches to the underside of the box along with some minor wear to the gilding. Hallmarks are also a little rubbed. The two remaining feet has been pushed into the body slightly. One has also been repaired and the other has partly come away from the main body and is in need of repair.
