Oil on a fairly thin wooden panel, paint is dirty with discolouration to the varnish, no sign of any craquelure, initialled and dated lower left, paint has possibly seen some over-cleaning in the past, the grain of the board is visible through the white and blue paint, housed in a late 19th century gilt gesso frame which has been overpainted and has some small losses, back of the work has been sprayed gold.
