Watercolour on buff coloured paper which is laid onto card, some fading but still retaining fair definition of colour, scattered fox and other dirt marks throughout the work most notably towards the top left corner, work has slipped in a later mount but is not signed, housed in an early Victorian maple frame, inscribed note verso stating that the V & A considered it to be the work of William Payne.
