Estimate £150-200
We believe the enamel to be contemporary with the case. The enamel is damaged (chipped and missing) to the top left corner and down the left side edge and around the bottom left corner and along the base edge. The enamel is also chipped to the top right edge. There are numerous minor surface nicks and scratches to the enamel in general commensurate with age and use. There appears to be an engraved inscription on the back of the case which has been "scratched" out, leaving very tired remnants of the inscription and the scratching. There are numerous minor surface scratches to the silver on the case in general in line with age and use. Lid a little loose in situ. There is a small dent to the lid close to the hinge. Hallmarks clear.
