One corner of the lid has quite a large dent. There is an engraved inscription on the top of the lid. "A.E.N.W. 29.9.12". There are a couple of dents within the engraved inscription. There are 2 small dents on one of the base corners and a small dent to the other base corner. There are a couple of small dents on the side of the base. There are 2 small dents to the spine of the case. Hallmarks and retail mark clear, but with some minor rubbing to the maker's mark. Hinge works fine and no gaps when shut. No evidence of any thinning to the gold. Engine turned decoration still quite crisp in relation to age.
