An early 19th century single pad top mahogany table clock, with pull quarter repeat, the 7.75 inch painted dial with Roman numerals and blued steel spade hands, later signed to the centre Whitehurst, Derby, the two train fusee movement with anchor escapement and rack strike to a bell mounted on the backplate, and pull quarter repeat on a rack of six bells, the shaped plates with engraved decorated border united by five knopped pillars, height 19in.

The veneers of the case has numerous shrinkage cracks with some losses to the right side on the edge of the door, the sound frets have been infilled with mahogany veneer, the brass furniture is tarnished and dirty, the glass has some scratches to the outer extremity of the curve, side frets are good, the back door is good with just some minor shrinkage cracks, the dial retains its original white paintwork but it has been refreshed most notably in the signature and the numerals, the hands are good. The brass lining to the left of the front door is detached.
The movement is polished and dirty with old oil, it functions, the pull quarter repeat fly is unusually heavy and is probably a replacement, the gut lines have been replaced with wire.
