A Chinese ivory ink or table screen, 18th/19th century, the ivory rectangular plaque incised with a sixteen character inscription and two seal marks, the reverse engraved with sages in a landscape, 20.1 x 10.2cm, the stand pierced and engraved with chi-dragons, flowers and medallions, on four shaped feet, total size 26cm x 12.5cm, small repairs

Provenance: by family repute formerly in the Arthur Flynn collection, purchased from Bluett's before 1980.
The rectangular panel has age cracks and shrinkage consistent with age, when viewed from above it is slightly bowed, the frame of the stand has been re-glued at the joints, on two of the uprights which hold in the panel there has been some glued sections replaced but all the elements with engraved decoration appear to be original.
