A Regency mahogany bracket clock, Chater, Goswell Road, London, the case with sarcophagus caddy over reticulated brass sound frets and moulding, the 8 inch white painted Roman dial with blued steel moon hands, the two train fusee movement with anchor escapement and rack strike to a bell, the shaped plates united by five knopped pillars and fitted with a stirrup pattern pendulum, 21in.

Case is in fair condition, the brass furniture is tarnished and dirty, there is a largeish chip to the top left corner of the cornice both front and back, one handle is lacking its loop, the other is in poor condition, a section of brass banding is lifting on the left side and also a small section of the ripple moulding, there are losses to the very fine ebony stringing around the quadrants bordering the dial, the back door is a little untidy with a crack along the leading edge and there is a loss to the bottom left hand corner, the dial is dirty with numerous radial scratches, there is the usual wear and chipping around the winding squares, there is another smaller chip to the centre and some chips to the edge of the dial between 8 and 10, the hands would benefit from re-blueing. The movement functions, the plates are dull and would benefit from a service.
