A Chinese Qingbai moulded dish and a bowl, Yuan dynasty (1271-1368), the small dish moulded in relief with twin fish amid pondweed, 10.3cm, wood stand, and the bowl with a kingfisher-like bird perched on a tree within a panelled border of vessels containing flowers, 18.2cm, both with key-work borders and unglazed rims, bowl with hairline cracks

Provenance: by family repute formerly in the Arthur Flynn collection, purchased from Bluett's before 1980.

The small dish has some occasional abrasion to the glaze, a few minute splinter chips around the biscuit edge and some burnt orange unglazed patches and spurs to the glaze in firing on the underside. The larger bowl has three long hairline cracks extending from the rim to the centre which have been stabilised on the underside with the addition of some glue, there are also a few nibbles around the biscuit edge and a few hairlines in the glaze on the interior, otherwise in reasonable condition.
