Gouache on paper which looks a little flat so may be laid down, some scattered fox marks particularly showing in the lighter area of the sky on the left and near the lower eruption of the volcano, no sign of any signature but does look to be a 19th century work, housed in an ornate gilt frame, glass has a crack running through it.
