A late 19th century Indian ivory and ebony Trivandrum School of Arts casket, applied with views of India including a church, paddy fields, river and farm scenes, on kneeling elephant feet, 15.5 x 9in. height 6.25in.

Overall in good condition with small losses to the elephants tusk that make up the feet, the interior has been later lined with red velvet some of which has become detached, some of the ivory stringing which is held in place by pins with ivory caps, some of the caps are missing.
