A Longwy chinoiserie ormolu mounted bowl, late 19th century, the interior decorated with floral motifs, the exterior with prunus in colours on a crackle ground, the ormolu rim and base united by a dragon handles, stamped 'Longwy' to base, height 25.5cm

The bowl has a broken and reglued triangular section to one side extending up to the rim with a slight crack running down from it, sort of hidden amid the crackle in the glaze, there is some slight staining and flaking of the glaze around the area, the mounted rim is constructed of sections with some obvious solder where it has been put together, otherwise the bronze or brass mounts are in reasonable condition, the diameter of the actual pottery bowl itself is 27cm.
