A late 19th century German quarter chiming bracket clock, Winterhalder and Hofmeier, the carved oak case with foliate carved bracket, the 6.5 inch Roman and Arabic dial with subsidiary dials for chime / silent, regulation and chime on eight gongs / chime on four gongs to the arch, the three train spring barrel movement with deadbeat escapement rise and fall regulation, chiming on eight gongs and striking the hour on a ninth, clock 56.5cm., with bracket 87.5cm

The case is good with some small losses to the extremities of the carved sections, including the nose of of the central foliate masks, the dial has some scratches to outside of the plate, the chapter ring has some radial wear and the numeral need re-waxing, the hands are a little dull and would benefit from re-silvering.
The movement functions, the plated are patinated, the steelwork is polished, it will require a service / overhaul, some of the retaining screws are untidy.
