Attributed to Wang Yeting (1884-1942). A set of four enamelled porcelain plaques, Republic period, each painted with figures in mountainous river landscape scenes, with poem inscriptions and red seal marks, the plaques are approximately 34cm x 21cm and the wood frames 39cm x 25.5cm

Provenance: From a local private collection inherited from English family who left Hong Kong in the early 1950's.

One of the plaques is slightly smaller than the other three.
The smaller plaque including the frame measures 37.5 x 25cm, where as the other examples are 39 x 25cm
We have only been able to open the back of one of the wood frames and the porcelain plaques are quite a thin porcelain, on this example no damage, the other examples are sealed in so it has been impossible to inspect the very edge of the plaques to check for chips, however the visible porcelain we can see looks in good condition with no restoratio or visible cracks or chips, the wood frames are a bit worn and one has some glue repairs to the corners and two of them have sort of extra holes on each side where they may have once been attached and hinged, otherwise they look in good condition.
