William A. Hawkins for Royal Worcester. A pair of cabinet plates, c.1917, each painted with a still life study of fruit and a vase of flowers on a table, within rich gilt tooled and cobalt blue borders, puce printed marks and retailer's mark for Maple London, 26.5cm

The plates with a glass vase of flowers and a rectangular picture has a couple of deep scratches to the glaze on the underside, under a 10x loupe these are definitely scratches and not cracks, occasional minor wear and scratches to the gilding otherwise both plates are in good condition just a bit grubby particularly on the base.
