A 19th century composition replica of a 6th century ivory carving of Archangel Michael, inscribed (translated) "Received these gifts, and having learned the cause", the original in Room 41 of The British Museum, 16 x 5in.

Good original condition, it is assumed that the lower left corner is intentionally missing as part of the reproduction of the original and that any apparent damages are also part of the reproduction, frame shows a few nicks to the corners, it would be worth taking the glass out and giving it a clean from the inside, but overall this looks to be in good order.
