An 18th century South German inlaid walnut bureau bookcase, of serpentine form, W.4ft 3in. D.2ft 2in. H.6ft 9in.

Overall good, rich toffee brown walnut colour. Top section, central door is slightly warped and has some splitting to left veneer. No key present for central cupboard lock. Veneers to surrounds to drawers of the top have seen replacements which show as differing in colour. Bottom long drawer in to section has a central piece of veneer missing from the lower left corner and is missing the handle in the centre. Bureau base has working key for the lock, revealing an old leather interior which shows fair wear and good do with hide feed. drawers to base with old repairs to corners which now shows a different colour. Sides look good, feet probably later and light scuffing to them and possibly slightly small for this model.
