Two Chelsea 'Hans Sloane' botanical plates, c.1755, each painted with botanical specimens and insects, brown edged rims, red anchor marks, 23.5cm, faults and one restored

The first plate painted with a caterpillar, yellow butterfly and melon like fruit has been broken into several sections with a restoration and filler around the area and the plate is generally heavily crazed to the glaze on both sides, there is a slight worn patch to the glaze on the underside where the centre of the plate has sagged slightly and has been worn from use, no red anchor mark present
Second plate has heavy crazing to the glaze back and front and two large cracks and several smaller cracks which are stained and some general areas of staining, some wear to the enamels and some scratching to the glaze, complete with red anchor mark.
