A pair of Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson carved oak three light candelabra, of gothic design with wrought iron sconces, from a set of 20 commissioned in 1936 for Bramshill House Police Training College, Hampshire. 15in.

One of the sconces on each of the candelabra are loose in situ otherwise both are in good condition condusive with age.

PROVENANCE:
Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson's records show an order from The Secretary of the Police College at Hendon dated July 6th 1939 for sixteen candelabrae to be sent on completion to Maj. JA Ferguson, Commandant's House, Metropolitan Police College, Aerodrome Road, Hendon, London NW9. The cash books show that the cost of the order was £20 and paid in September 1939. These were a one-off commission made especially for the Police College and are therefore probably unique.
