Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas has a very slight outward bulge, slight stretcher marks showing and fine lines of stable craquelure running through the paint but notable the sky, overall looks to be in good order however the bottom half inch right across the work has been completely touched in, perhaps it was added to make the canvas fit the frame, or possibly there was damage across the bottom. No sign of any signature, housed in an old possibly original gilt gesso frame which is a little dirty but otherwise in good order, label verso giving details of artist.
