A George III silver two handled presentation cup and cover by Story & Elliot, of campana vase shape, with wheatsheaf and acorn band, entwined serpent handles and fluted girdle, with engraved inscription monogram and armorial, London, 1813, 11.5in, Gross 57 oz.

Inscription reads "Digby Mackworth to Wriothesly Digby. A Gift of Gratitude, June, 1815".
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE WEIGHT IS GROSS 57OZ. This is due to the fact that the stem is filled with plaster when viewed from beneath. There are also remmnants of plaster on the inside of the foot rim. Possibly once stood on a plaster plinth?? The lid is very slightly loose in situ. There is an engraved armorial, initials and monogram. Overall condition is otherwise good. Hallmarks clear although there is some slight rubbing to the maker's mark.
