A William & Mary oyster veneered chest, of small proportions, with boxwood strung and crossbanded top over two short and two graduated long drawers fitted with original brass drop handles, on bun feet, W.2ft 8in. D.1ft 10in. H.2ft 4in.

Unusually small proportions, has some old fine cracking running through the veneers, a more notable split running across the width of the top approx. 6 inches in from the front, some small losses to the crossbanding at the back, handles and locks look to be original, drawers are made from oak, carcass is made from pine, comes with one key which operates all the locks although both long drawer locks are stiff, some slight fading to the front, signs of worming in the crossbanding to the sides, approx. 15 inches of flat moulding missing from the lower left plinth, feet look like later replacements although old enough to show some signs of wear and worming.
