A fine Chippendale period mahogany tea table, the circular top with ribbon and foliate paterae carved rim, on birdcage with pierced acanthus baluster stem, pierced and blind fret carved cabriole tripod, on eagles talon and ball feet, fitted brass castors, W.1ft 11in. H.2ft 6in.

Very good rich dark mahogany colour, some shallow light surface scratches and dents acquired over the years, at the very top of the stem one small acanthus scroll has lost its tip, equally one of the three tripod legs has been broken through and repaired at some point but would benefit from improved restorations, castors look original, overall a handsome piece.
