A George III silver oval cake basket by Elizabeth Aldridge, with beaded and pierced scroll decoration, on conforming foot, with multi ring handle, London, 1765, 14in, 23 oz.

There are a couple of sharp areas within the pierced decoration where the silver has been bent slightly inwards or outwards. The engraved armorial to the interior base is quite tired. There is an old repair (visible silver solder) just below the rim by the handle. There is a split to the pierced decoration within the oval foot. There are a few minor bumps and dings around the basket in general. Marks on basket and handle clear.
