A pair of Japanese Imari octagonal bowls, 19th century, each painted to the centre with four leaf shape devices within panelled borders of brocaded mon, pseudo Chinese Ming marks, width 13.3cm

One bowl has a few fine glaze cracks inside and out to the rim and border, several of which have become hairline cracks through the porcelain which are very difficult to see except with a strong light, the other bowl in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks. Both with occasional minor scratching to the glaze.
