Lot 238 , A Chinese export ivory casket, 19th century, 15cm, slight repairs
A Chinese export ivory casket, 19th century, with panels of figures amid pavilions and trees, 15cm, slight repairs
Estimate £300-500
There is some slight shrinkage to the ivory cover and the central panel has been reglued in position as well as the moulded borders around it, the clasp on the inside of the cover is lacking and it looks as though the moulding around the base has been re-stuck with some tiny chip losses in corners and the ivory panel in the base has some replacements to it.
