Please note change of attribution. Having closely examined this work I would say that it is a 19th century work in the 17th century style.
The medium is oil on a lead plaque.
The plaque has a slight upward curve at the edges. The paint is flaking at 2 and 3 o'clock.
There is a discoloured varnish over much but not all of the paint.
No sign of overpainting.
Loosely fitted into an old (19th C) giltwood frame.
