Lot 901 , Six bottles of Springbank 21 years old,
Six bottles of Springbank 21 years old, distilled May 1993, bottled by Douglas Laing in the Old Particular range, October 2014, at cask strength 51.4%, limited to 233 non-chill filtered bottles. This cask was laid down by the vendor at the distillery before its much later sale to Douglas Laing whereupon the seller retained a small quantity of the subsequent final bottling. Each bottle in its own tube, original cardboard case of six. Being aged in a Bourbon cask, this whisky is much lighter in colour than the distillery proprietary 21 year old, which typically sees greater use of sherry butts. Still family owned and run, the isolated Campbeltown malt continues to have a legion of loyal followers the world over for its eclectic and ever-changing range.
