Lot 702 , A set of four French Louis XVI style beech framed open armchairs,

A set of four French Louis XVI style beech framed open armchairs,

A set of four French Louis XVI style beech framed open armchairs, with angular upholstered backs and over-stuffed upholstered seats, on tapering fluted supports
Estimate £200-300

All four chairs have a slightly dulled finish from fair wear and tear, the visible joints in the frame and at the back are slightly separating but not actually wobbly, they are just split apart at little with age, all four chairs have rather faded old upholstery that was no doubt very high quality in the 1950's when they were upholstered, all chairs have small signs of old but now inactive worming, all four would benefit from a repolish to the frames, of the four chairs three of them have slightly wobbly arms, overall a nice set of chairs and will need some repolishing and some minor attention to the framing and almost certainly re-upholstering.
