This painting has seen a fair amount of restoration over the past 10 to 20 years or so, the canvas has been relined and remains tight, there are notable patches of fine but stable craquelure running through the very whitist parts of the sky, much of the other painting of the clouds looks to be overpainting including much of the blues, the work appears to be unsigned although the artist signature and date are on the stretcher and do appear to be the artists hand, housed in a later orntae gilt scroll frame which is equally in good condition.
