Oil on an old oak panel which has a central join and reinforcement showing from behind, has been fairly heavily cleaned at some point in the past and the grain of the panel shows through almost all of the paint, the horizontal central split also fairly crudely retouched, no sign of any signature, also rather dirty, housed in a later gilt frame which is in reasonable condition.
Panel is 45 x 49cm.
In our opinion the panel is late 19th or early 20th century.
