Two Chinese export armorial octagonal plates, Qianlong period, the first decorated with the arms of Lane with Clarke in pretence, with a swag border, see Howard p.641 for this armorial, 22cm, the second painted with a European subject of two cherubs supporting a shield with three fish, imprint of foliage with a bust above them, brocade banded borders, basketweave moulded edge, 23cm

Octagonal soup plate with the arms of Lane with Clarke in pretence - some slight scratching and wear to the well of the plate, there is also a shallow glaze chip at the 10 o'clock position, otherwise good.
Second plate with basketweave moulded border has wear to the gilding around the edge, occasionally wear to the gilding around the edge, occasional scratching and scuffing to the centre, there is also a small ground off area to the glaze on the underside of the plate near one corner, otherwise good condition.
