A good Japanese Tokyo School ivory okimono of a hunter and a dragon, signed Nobuaki(?), Meiji period, the standing figure of the huntsman holding a rifle with a startled expression as a dragon entwines around his leg, engraved two character mark to an oval seal to the base, 34cm, wood stand

The core of the ivory is visible on the rear left leg of the huntsman which can only really be seen clearly when the figure is looked at from beneath, there is a slight crack to the ivory above this - again hidden away, there is a slight crack to the ivory at the edge of his fur coat next to the dragons right claw, again only really visible when viewed from beneath.
Otherwise in good condition.
The figure is 33.5cm high and the weight is 2.38kg.
