Studio of Namikawa Sosuke (1847-1919). A pair of cloisonne enamel bottle vases, late Meiji period, finely worked in silver wire and musen enamel, the first vase with white and yellow blossoming prunus branches amid mist, silhouetted by the moon and the second with pink and yellow prunus blossom amid mist, shakudo over copper rims, silver inlaid 'Sakigake' seal marks, 21cm, some 'bruising' to enamel

First vase with white and yellow prunus silhouetted by the moon, there are some slight dents to the top and foot rims, there are numerous small areas of 'bruising' around the middle of the vase and one large patch of bruising between branches of the prunus, there are some hairline cracks around the base of the vase and a splinter chip by the foot between the two branches of prunus. Please see photographs for the extent of the damage.
Second vase with pink and yellow prunus has some slight dents to the shakudo and copper rims, again some 'bruising' around the middle of the vase, there is a larger paler coloured bruise with splintering around the edge of the tip of one of the high prunus branches. Please see photographs.
