Two Chinese export armorial octagonal plates, 18th century, the first painted in famille rose palette with the arms of Garstin within a chain link and flower spray border, 21.3cm. (restored), the second c.1790, painted with an unidentified crest of a woman next to an anchor and bearing the initials AS, on an ermine mantle, within diaper and lambrequin borders, 23.5cm.

The famille rose plate with the arms of Garstin has been completely restored and the restoration is slightly discoloured, there is some wear to the enamelling also.
The second plate with the blue borders has some wear to the gilding and some slight wear to the enamels otherwise good condition.
