China map - very flat appearance, certainly laid down, central fold looks to have been reinforced at some point with a discolouration showing through most of the length of it. Paper discoloured most notably around the margins, one or two spots of white retouching paint, in the margin not on the image, lightly coloured which is now faded, approx. 2 inches of margin showing. Under glass in an old mahogany frame which is now rather tatty.
Map of Ceilan - undulates so thought not to be laid down, fair creasing through the central fold along with a hint of either white mould or white retouching, probably the former, one or two spots of retouching around the margin, paper discoloured to a brownish tone, faded light colouring, approx 1.5 inches margin top and bottom and 1 inch at the sides. Matching frame to its companion.
