Oil on an old oak panel, grain of the timber showing through the paint which is fairly thinly applied with a little deeper paint used in the white, also rather dirty but otherwise in good condition. In a 19th century gilt gesso frame which is a little dull in finish with some cracking in the corners, no labels or inscriptions verso.
