A Victorian pierced silver sugar basket by Edward & John Barnard, with flared rim and wire work body decorated with oak leaves and acorns, on scroll feet, (repairs to handle), London, 1852, with shaped blue glass liner, height 6.75in inc. handle.

The handle is repaired at two positions on the underside of the handle. There appears to be a leaf missing from the decoration around the top of the basket. The silver is also split at one position around the rim. The liner may well be a replacement. Marks on base and handle clear.
