Two Chinese famille verte glazed biscuit 'character' wine pots, early 20th century, the first in the form of the character 'Fu' painted with a figure of an emperor and an attendant to the centre within flower and scrollwork borders, 21cm., the second in the form of Shou, painted to the centre with figures of boys, within similar decorated borders, 22.5cm.

Shou character wine pot has a broken and restuck handle with a slight glaze chip at the top of the handle, the Fu character wine pot has an overglazed chip to the very foot, a slight glaze flake on the edge of the handle near the base, otherwise generally good condition.
